Off-Road Travel TV is the only weekly cable television show devoted to off-road adventure travel and the overland lifestyle. Each week, Off-Road Travel TV takes viewers to spectacular off-road locations and shows them the latest gear and accessories that make the modern off-road/overland travel lifestyle so popular and appealing.

Off-Road Travel TV actually began with a trip to the Overland Expo, the PNW event in 2022. Until then it had just been a crazy idea from the minds of co-founders Mark Mitchell and Ken Faught. Mark encouraged Ken to go to the Overland Expo and check out all the excitement surrounding the world of overland and off-road adventure travel and think about the concept of a TV show focused on the lifestyle.

So Ken loaded up his Sprinter van and his 18-year-old son Wyatt and took off on a trip to Redmond, Oregon. What they found at the Expo made a huge impression and they eventually stretched their weekend trip into a two week long van adventure across the western states. When they came back they were both on fire to move forward with the project.
After two years of preparation and hard work, the idea became a reality in early 2024 when they signed a 2 year deal with MAVTV! Wanting to do something big and make it a memorable debut season for viewers the team decided to film an epic 2 month long 8000 mile trip to Alaska and back, coined “Glaciers to Geysers: A Tale of Fire and Ice” and build this into a series of segments for the show.

Building vehicles for the trip was the first order of business and over the next six to eight months with lots of help from the industry three vehicles were transformed into totally competent overland machines capable of traveling and camping off-road for weeks at a time.
Considering the length of the trip they also decided to pull a variety of adventure trailers to add some creature comforts and make the trip more enjoyable overall. They also wanted to field test as many products as they could so they brought a wide variety of gear and equipment to be used and evaluated for both the television show and companion website.

The stunning beauty of the footage they captured in the Pacific Northwest, British Columbia and Alaska made the first half of the trip hard to top but the return trip back through Montana, Idaho, and Utah turned out to be equally amazing, proving once again that you don’t have to go too far from home to find world class places for overland, wheeling and off-road adventure.
Mixing storytelling from the Alaska trek with a variety of segments on everything from the vehicle builds and equipment reviews to dual sport motorcycle tours, UTV action and real world testing of a variety of off-road vehicles make season one of Off-Road Travel TV must see tv for any off-road or adventure minded traveler.
Off-Road Travel TV can be seen every Sunday at 9:30am on MAVTV or on the MAVTV GO app available at www.mavtvgo.com
