iKamper and Rivian have collaborated to release a Rivian-specific rooftop tent — one that can be mounted on either the R1T or the R1S.
The Rivian x iKamper Skycamp Mini Rooftop Tent — designed and sized specifically to fit a Rivian R1T or R1S and based off the SkyCamp 3.0 Mini platform — features PFAS-free construction and integrates Rivian’s eye catching aesthetic throughout the design, including exclusive color options including signature yellow accents, blacked-out hardware, and Rivian badges inside and outside the tent. The SkyCamp Mini Rooftop Tent’s EV-specific design feature comes in the form of a sleek, aerodynamic hardshell, designed to minimize drag and maximize range.
According to iKamper, all their tents, including this Rivian mashup, are compatible with a variety of vehicles. The mini tent works with almost every vehicle! The other tents, being larger and longer, will depend on the vehicle’s size. In order to assure your vehicle will be compatible, be sure to measure appropriately and ensure that your rooftop rack or crossbars can handle the weight of the tent you select. Outside, the Skycamp Mini Rooftop Tent features locking mounting brackets compatible with Rivian’s Adventure Key Set (which is sold separately), and comes with updated latches.
The rooftop tent offers four-season protection from the elements, and will shield you from rain, wind and UV rays. The tent fabric is breathable, 300gsm poly-cotton blackout canvas, and the rainfly is waterproof polyester 75D ripstop, with an eco-friendly DWR coating. The entire tent weighs only 137 pounds, and can be set up in 60 seconds.
The Rivian x iKamper Skycamp Mini Rooftop Tent can be mounted on the rear or roof of the Rivian R1T, and the front or rear of the R1S.
