Overland Expo is thrilled to share one of our most expansive educational programs ever! Visit our schedule here to learn more and stay up to date.
Before we get into the schedule itself, we would like to extend our gratitude to the speakers from all over the world who submitted session proposals to teach inspirational and informative classes this May, therefore contributing to the incredibly dynamic and diverse Overland Expo WEST 2025 program.
Without further ado, here’s…
WHAT’S NEW:
Women Who Wander Pavilion Sponsored by Rig Ready Systems
This new education space is open to all, but features woman-specific programming (e.g. how to use your body mechanics to change a big tire), to cater to the growing audience of women at our event and in our overland community. Teaching those aforementioned tire change classes, we will have Charlene Bower (Ladies Offroad Network) and Natalie Muscat (Ladies Night Campouts). We are excited to welcome back Tiffany Richards (Peaceful Warrior) who will be teaching classes about safety, self-awareness and self-defense. The dynamic mother-daughter duo, Grace and Kelly Howard, will help us finish the weekend strong by teaching a very hands-on two-hour vehicle maintenance clinic.
As part of our female-specific programming, we’ll host a Women Who Wander Community Conversation & Networking Event in the Oasis Bar & Food Court Sponsored by XPLOR, on Saturday morning beginning at 10am with mimosas and muffins.

Inspirational Programming in the Oasis Bar & Food Court Sponsored by XPLOR
What better way to utilize the largest screen at Overland Expo during the day than to showcase inspirational travel slideshows and videos? Throughout the days, you’ll be able to catch Lory Perfect serving up all of the great info and inspo you need to head South of the border to Baja; Daryl and Cayden, the father-son traveling team will showcase what lies North of the border; and for those looking to head farther afield, you can catch sessions about Guatemala, Iceland and Alaska.

Dig Deeper at The Learning Lab Sponsored by Denali Campers
We work to make sure that there is something for EVERY attendee at Overland Expo, whether you’re new to overlanding or if you’ve taken a few laps around the globe already. The Learning Lab Sponsored by Denali Campers is filled with more niche subject matter that may not be of interest to every attendee, but we know it will be of interest to a few, and we’re all about quality over quantity when it comes to engaging educational opportunities. You’ll find classes here like Beyond Borders: Mastering Cross-Cultural Communication for Overland Adventures (Troy Wong); How to 3D Print Overland Gear While Overlanding (Adam Zolyak); No Gas, No Problem: Revolutionizing Overlanding with Electric Power (Will Curran); and Natural Plant Medicine for the Road (Lee Vernon).
But Don’t Worry… We’re Keeping Your Favorite Parts of the Program, Too!
The overwhelming response to The Storytelling Pavilion at all of our events in 2024 means that it’s back, again, at Overland Expo WEST. The Storytelling Pavilion Sponsored by Bush Lapa USA will feature your favorite content creators like Matt McClellan (Ozark Overland Adventures), Rachel Harris (@sunnrayy), Tim Johnson (Truck House Life) and more will be sharing the secret sauce behind creating content and working as a content creator in the overland space. Patty Upton, Lisa Morris and Jason Spafford and not one, but three families who have recently returned from a run down the Pan American Highway will share their epic stories of adventure throughout the weekend. Behind the teaching area, we’ll have the Creator Area Camping space where attendees will be able to meet our content creator guests and check out their vehicles.

And speaking of checking out vehicles, an Overland Expo event wouldn’t be complete without the Showcase & DIY Area. We received dozens of applications from folks who were keen to show off their rigs at Overland Expo WEST, so it was tough to narrow it down to 18 vehicles. Our goal in curating the Showcase & DIY Area is always to showcase as broad of a spectrum of vehicles as possible, but also to make sure that these vehicles have been put to the test by their overlanders. To name a handful, attendees will be able to tour a 1973 Pinzgauer 712M, a 1990 Toyota bj75 Troopy, a 2015 Porsche Cayenne S and a 2022 RAM 5500 with Total Composites Habitat Box.
Our dedicated motorcycle education space, the ADV Skills Area Sponsored by Quad Lock, will have the usual motorcycle packing and motorcycle maintenance classes, but we’ve added some South America-specific sessions about trip-planning and renting vs. buying a motorcycle for a journey around South America (if you’re not riding your own down, of course). Our in-house moto-maven programming director is especially excited about the two-hour, hands-on Crash Course: Managing Motorcycle-Specific Injuries in the Field session that will be offered on Saturday.

The Overland Essentials Area Sponsored by Midland Radio Corp. will host 101-level overland education. Our Backcountry & Culinary Pavilion Sponsored by LandShark™ Trailers will be filled with classes catering to those who like to get out into the wilderness… and cook while there (this year, with Top Chef Season 13 Finalist, Chef Chad White). The Hands-on Pavilion Sponsored by U-Haul International is back with in-depth intensives on everything from traditional navigation to first aid. And our Roundtable Pavilion Sponsored by Kumho Tire will bring together some super dynamic travelers to share their varied opinions on everything from borders, checkpoints and bribes to surviving overland travel as a couple.
There is so much more in store for attendees at Overland Expo WEST – we can’t wait for you to see it! As always, the schedule will remain available on the website throughout the event and in print on-site in our Overland Expo WEST Newspaper sponsored by HP Tuners. But for the most up-to-date version of the schedule, please view it on our Overland Expo App once we get close to the event.
