How to: Start Overlanding

If you’re reading this, you’ve probably come across the term “overlanding.” You may have heard an acquaintance use it to describe their weekend getaway, or you might have come across it on social media. In all reality, overlanding means a lot of different things to a lot of different people.

Industry Spotlight: – Four Wheel Campers

Before “overlanding” was a household term in the U.S., Four Wheel Campers (FWC) was already quietly outfitting adventurers for life off-grid. Founded in 1972 in Colorado, the company emerged from a simple but powerful idea: that a reliable, lightweight, and low-profile pop-up truck camper could unlock the backroads and wilderness for more people. That vision took shape through countless trips into the Rockies testing gear in real conditions. The earliest prototypes were born from rugged experiences and the kind of “let’s figure it out” moments only found deep in the wild.
