If you’re looking for a luxury-minded take on overlanding that can still roam with the most durable of vehicles, you’re in luck: TruckHouse has announced the release of its brand-new Carbon BCR, which features a thoughtfully designed interior, a vacuum-infused carbon fiber shell, and American Expedition Vehicles chassis. Here’s what we know about Truckhouse’s latest release.

With a focus on ensuring the amenities of a luxury home could successfully make it onto the open road, TruckHouse imbued its new Carbon BCR interior with plenty of eye-catching (and useful) features. The rear of the BCR is a comfortable U-shaped dinette featuring expansive windows that offer a 270-degree view of the outside world.
Continuing the theme of comfort, the Carbon BCR is powered by a 48-volt lithium battery system that can support a whopping 50 continuous hours of air conditioning. The expandable 1400 watt integrated solar system allows for recharging via the sun — or drivers can opt for recharging while driving, which results in a full charge with just an hour of driving time.

Other useful details include high-quality appliances, plenty of overhead storage and closet space, lightweight cabinetry, and a 10-inch Garmin display to handle all camper functionality, which can be managed via smartphone or manual switches throughout the cabin interior. If you’re camping in the cold, heated floors and a central heating system will keep you cozy and warm. And finally, the Carbon BCR can be outfitted with a composting, dry-flush, or standard cassette toilet, based on your preferences.

The TruckHouse BCR is built on the tried and true American Expedition Vehicles Prospector XL chassis. This combination includes a unique Torsion-Free system that eliminates twists in the carbon fiber camper using strategically placed reinforcements in the floor. This eliminates the need for a heavy metal subfloor while also allowing the chassis to twist while the camper remains torsion-free. The BCR is available in both two and four-door configurations of the RAM 3500, and it includes a host of offroad modifications from the experts at AEV.
