First off, the 2025 iteration of the popular Tundra will be available with two stout engine options. The i-FORCE twin-turbo V6 with 24-valve cylinder heads makes 389 horsepower and 479 lb.-ft. of torque, while the i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain jumps to 437 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 583 lb.-ft. of torque at 2,400 rpm thanks to the electric motor assist. There’s no manual option, but the 10-speed automatic includes a clutchless manual sequential shift mode, uphill/downhill shift logic, and TOW/HAUL driving modes.

The TRD Rally-spec drivetrain features a locking rear diff, and the Multi-Terrain Select offers adjustable settings to control wheel spin on slick terrain. Toyota says the TRD Crawl Control “functions as a low-speed, off-road cruise control that allows the driver to focus on steering while the Tundra maintains one of five selectable speeds.” Those exact speeds were not specified. Cameras around and under the body allow monitoring of terrain and obstacles from inside the truck on the large 14-inch touch screen. Towing with the top-spec i-FORCE MAX engine option is a stout 12,000 pounds.

Suspension upgrades with the TRD Rally package include 18-inch TRD off-road wheels with unique center caps, all-terrain tires as standard, Bilstein shocks, and skid plates to protect vital chassis components. Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 includes the usual driver aids, including smart cruise and reverse trailer parking assist. Approach and departure angle climb to 26.2 / 24.2 degrees.

Inside the cab, the TRD Rally package adds optional leather-trimmed seats with 10-way power adjustment and integrated massage functions. The magic seats offer both upper and lower body massage with a range of intensities and will work while the truck is in motion or stationary. The massage function can be customized on the touchscreen and is standard in 1794, Platinum, and Capstone trims. The seats and dashboard also receive red, orange, and yellow accents.

Toyota says TRD upgrade packages will be added to Tundra pickups at the company’s San Antonio, Texas facility. The upcoming 2025 Tundra will be available in SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794, TRD Pro and Capstone grades. Read more about the 2025 Tundra here.
