What’s better than a retro 60 Series Land Cruiser?
How about an FJ60 built on a more modern chassis? If that tickles your fancy, then these amazing creations from the Japanese company Flex Ventures might be the right rig for you.

From a design standpoint, the Flex-built rigs are rather impressive. They currently offer two Land Cruiser-based models, the 106 and the Wonder. The 106 is built off of a J100 chassis with round headlights that envoke the 60 Series classic Cruisers. The Wonder also has a 60 Series style grill, but it’s built using the FJ80 chassis.
Flex Ventures isn’t new to the custom game. They have been in operation since 1967 and currently have over 50 dealerships in Japan.

If all of this sounds like your next must-have rig, then you’ll be happy to hear that Flex Ventures will soon open its first North American dealership in San Diego, California.
Inside you’ll find updated interiors with technology and amenities that match the J100 and FJ80 foundations. Flex offers numerous options for cloth or leather interiors, but thankfully all of them look period correct without too many up-to-date additions.

No official prices are available yet, but it’s estimated that the Flex Venture Cruisers will cost approximately $25,000 plus the donor vehicle. If the price is anywhere in that neighborhood, and you’re looking for a unique Land Cruiser built on a proven platform, we wouldn’t blame you one bit for being first in line when Flex Ventures is open for business later this year.
